General descriptions: The Olde English Bulldogge is a loyal, courageous dog, with a very stable temperament. They are medium height with large size, with a large, strong head and stout, muscular body. They are athletic and of very good health. A wonderful companion, protector, and family member.

Body: The body was designed for power and agility. The Bulldogge should be medium/large sized, well muscled, very strong, the back should be roached, with a wide deep chest, the leg length and body length should be in proportion, Excessive differences in the chest and rear size is not desirable and can restrict free breeding and whelping.

Head: the bulldogge head was designed to grip and hold, it should be strong and powerful, and it should have that appearance. The head is large, with a broad skull, wide-set eyes, with short [medium], and broad muzzle. The muzzle has a distinct stop, and moderately pendulous lips. The ears are high on the head, small, and set well back on the top of the skull, either rose or drop, ["tulip" ears would be a fault]. The jaw should curve up with undershot bite. The muzzle should be: broad , deep and short, at least one inch and up to 3 inches with a moderate amount of wrinkles is preferable. Can also be described as a 1/3 ratio to the skull. A medium-short muzzle helps eliminate breathing problems, and allows the dogs to be athletic.  A turned up nose/ or layback to the nose with a moderate amount wrinkles, is the function, and created the look of the old time bulldogs.  Too short (smashed into the face) or too long is a fault. And the bite is always undershot!

Tail: Short, docked, or pump handle.

Color: A personal choice, [any color is acceptable]. A variety of colors are common to the "bull" breeds or "mastiff" family. Some are seen less now, but were more common to the old type working bulldogge, [such as some of your more muted colors].

Height- 15 to 20 inches..
Weight- 55 to 90 lbs
No penalty for dogs a little over the average size as long as well built and well proportioned.
